Baseball player tries to score with Ronda Rousey, but gets thrown out by 'Rowdy's' mom

Jayne Kamin-Oncea-USA TODAY Sports

Step aside Cardale Jones, because Anthony Giansanti is trying to get to first base.

Not only are top college quarterbacks trying to get a one-on-one meeting with Ronda Rousey, but minor-league baseball players are trying to get them some "Rowdy," as well.

Giansanti of the Tripe-A Iowa Cubs is determined to get the chance to meet the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) women's bantamweight champion -- and perhaps snag her as a wedding date -- by leaving tickets for the Olympian for each one of his games.

And judging by his Twitter posts, he doesn't plan on letting up any time soon.

How sweet.

Rousey has yet to respond to the invitation, but her mother, Dr. AnnMaria De Mars, reminded Giansanti that the champ is a little tied up at the moment:

For his part, Anthony acknowledged the blunder and apologized for being so persistent.

But once Rousey completes her duties against Bethe Correia at UFC 190 on Aug. 1, 2015, in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil (more on that here), don't be surprised if the ESPY winner gets hit up by Giansanti once again.

Hopefully she doesn't "pussy out."
