UFC on FOX 16 live stream results: 'Dillashaw vs Barao 2' play-by-play updates

Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) is back on the FOX network for the appropriately titled UFC on FOX 16, featuring a bantamweight championship rematch in the five-round main event, locked and loaded for TONIGHT (Sat., July 25, 2015) inside United Center in Chicago, Illinois.

Headlining the "Dillashaw vs. Barao 2" mixed martial arts (MMA) fight card will be reigning 135-pound champion TJ Dillashaw facing the man he stripped of the strap, bitter ex-titleholder Renan Barao. In the women's bantamweight co-main event, Jessica Eye looks to prove she's worthy of a division title shot by disposing of venerable gatekeeper Miesha Tate.

Another hard right from TJ and he presses Barao against the cage. Knees to the thigh from Dillashaw. Two minutes in. Knees from Barao, dirty boxing from Dillashaw. Body kick from TJ after they separate. He catches a leg kick, can't do anything with it. Two minutes to go.

Knees from Dillashaw in response and they separate. TJ snaps him with a pair of good rights and a left straight. Two minutes to go.

Both land low kicks, Barao lands a left hook. Low kick from Barao, head kick and overhand right from Dillashaw. Body shot by the champion. Barao ties up and lands a knee before they separate. Round 3: Barao with a left hand early on an off-balance TJ. TJ working with his jab, eats a left hook. He's slipping the vast majority of Barao's punches. Round 1: Tate comes charging right out of the gate, running into Eye's jab. Eye getting the better of the early exchanges. Left hook from Tate after eating a right hand. One minute in. Uppercut and left hook from Eye. Eye counters a front kick with a powerful combination, started by a right hand. Counter 3-2 from Eye. Two minutes in. Overhand right lands for Miesha. Big counter right from Eye, who hurts her with a combination. Another right on the break after Eye stuffs a takedown. Two minutes to go.

Tate shoots in, Eye stuffs it and cracks her with a left hand. Tate stumbles her with a stiff jab, then drops Eye with an overhand right. Tate on top in half guard. Eye clinging tightly to her. One minute to go. Elbows from Tate. Eye survives the round. 10-9 Tate.

Round 2: Low kick from Eye to start the round. Hard right hand from Tate. Body kick lands for her. Counter combination by Eye. Tate whiffs on an uppercut. 1-2 from Tate, who clinches and takes Eye to the fence. One minute in. Good elbow by Eye, who separates. Eye catches a low kick, eats a hard right hand. Two minutes in. Low kick from Eye and they trade inside. Lead right from Tate rattles Eye, who stumbles to the ground. Hammerfists from Tate, who takes side control. Eye controlling her with a no-arm inverted triangle, then loses it. Two minutes to go.

Eye regains half guard. Elbows from Tate. One minute to go. One-arm guillotine attempt by Tate. Miesha pulls guard on an arm-in guillotine, but can't finish it before the bell. 10-9 Tate.

Round 3: Low kicks from Eye to start the round. Body kick by Tate, Eye answers with a right hand. Eye stuffs a takedown. One minute in.  They trade jabs. Eye working behind the jab better this round. Eye tries a head kick. Two minutes in. They trade in close. Eye connects with a good cross and an inside low kick. Both land hard shots in close. Tate shoots in, putting Eye on her knees. Tate takes the back. Two minutes to go.

Tate uses some heel kicks, two of which are directly to the head. One minute to go. Eye defending the choke and, for some bizarre reason, Yves Lavigne stands them up and Miesha tries to attack her on the break. Eye tries to open up and Tate shoots, eating elbows and knees. Round ends. 10-9 Tate.

Round 1: Both men showing very quick hands early on. Low kick from Felder. Barboza answers. Edson tries to go high, eats a 2-3. One minute in. Body kick by Edson, then another. Felder lands a glancing low kick. Edson's right eye isn't looking great. Edson ducks a spinning back fist. Spinning back kick to the body from Felder. Edson checks a low kick. Two minutes in. Felder just misses with a four-punch combo. Spinning elbow attempt. Body kick by Edson. Low kick connects. Felder lands a low kick and checks one from Edson. Two minutes to go.

Nice body shot by the Brazilian. Spinning back fist by Barboza earns a fist bump from Felder. They're less friendly afterwards when Edson drills Felder in the groin with a spinning heel kick. Spinning back fist catches Barboza with the forearm. Lead left hook connects for Felder, as does a body kick. He's starting to get the better of these exchanges. Felder slips a couple of big punches, lands a left hook Two minutes in. Leg kick from Barboza, left hook by Felder. Felder blocks a head kick. Leg kick from Felder. Both try to spin at the same time. Low kick by Barboza, he checks the ones that come back. Two minutes to go.

Glancing exchange inside. Barboza low kick. Spinning back elbow lands. Wheel kick by Barboza just misses. Barboza lands a great body shot, then tries to shoot in. They swing wild. Left hook from Felder, body kick by Edson as the Irishman spins. Straight left lands for him. Two minutes in. Low kick by Edson, who avoids a knee. Left hook in an exchange. Edson fires a wheel kick that Felder ducks. Short elbow by Felder. Low kick lands for him. Two minutes to go.

Round 1: Gomi jabbing the body early. Good body shots. Again as Lauzon advances. J-Lau presses forward. One minute in. Lauzon looking for flurries, Gomi looking to stop him with stiff jabs. Lauzon goes for a low single, and takes the back when Gomi stumbles. Lauzon threatens a Suloev stretch, then goes back to looking for the choke. Elbows from Lauzon. Two minutes in. Gomi's flattened out. Good punches from Lauzon put Gomi out. Lauzon walks away and Gomi, after waking up, accepts defeat.

Final result: Lauzon def. Gomi by KO (punches)

Round 1: Lawlor pops him with a straight left to start. VIllante tries a high kick. Two more, then a body kick. Check hook from Lawlor. One minute in. Villante low kick lands. Counter hooks from Lawlor, Villante connects with a hook of his own. Nice straight right by VIllante, who eats a right hook and a straight left. Right hook by Lawlor, low kick from Villante. Another right hook by Lawlor. Two minutes in. Lawlor lands another heavy hook. Villante low kick. Quick exchange inside. Low kick met by a Lawlor straight left. Two minutes to go.

Another low kick from Villante. Lawlor lands a 2-3. Overhand left, right uppercut. Another right hook, Villante counters with a big low kick. One minute to go. Another low kick and another. Lawlor lands a low kick and Villante takes him down, allowing him back up. Villante tries a head kick. 10-9 Villante, though closer than Rogan would suggest.

Round 2: Good right hands inside from Villante. Right hook from Villante. MASSIVE right hand drops Vilante and the referee steps in to save him. He tries to protest, then stumbles when he makes it to his feet. Huge upset for Lawlor.

Round 1: Miller on the front foot, lands a good low kick and stops a shot. Miller catches a high kick and struggles to keep Castillo down. He does so and passes to half guard. Danny tries to elevate and turn into Miller, who uses the opportunity to pass to mount. One minute in. Miller moving towards S-mount. Castillo holding Miller against him, tries to buck and winds up in an inverted triangle. Castillo makes it out and takes half guard. Miller regains full guard. Overhook control for Miller. Two minutes to go.

Short ground-and-pound for Castillo. Miller rolls for a leg and manages to stand. One minute to go. Castillo tries to go high. Miller checks a low kick. Straight left just misses for Miller, who tries to shoot in off a missed high kick and eats a knee to the groin. 10-9 Miller.

Round 2: Castillo just misses with a straight right. High kick attempt. Low kick from Miller, then a counter right. Another counter right lands. Castillo switching stances. Miller low kick. One minute to go. Another right hand from Miller lands. Miller low kick met by a check hook. Another low kick by Miller, who's setting them up with punches. Two minutes in. Right hand lands for Danny, 1-2 lands for Miller. Castillo body kick. Miller checks a low kick and avoids a head kick. Miller body kick connects. Two minutes to go.

Castillo tries a high kick and avoids a straight left. Miller low kick. Miller just misses with an overhand left and stuffs a takedown. Castillo 1-2. One minute to go. Robertson blocks a high kick, eats a body kick. Overhand right from Robertson. Counters from Saunders, who eats another right hand and lands a knee. Robertson firing away with Saunders on the fence. Straight left stings Robertson, body kick connects. Robertson's getting his licks in, but eating the bigger strikes. Robertson shoots, stuffed. One minute to go. Saunders may have hurt Robertson's right arm with his kicks. Robertson giving ground, but drops Saunders with a big overhand right. Saunders manages to tie up. Round 2: Robertson counters a head kick with a right hand. Low kick and left hook by Robertson., who's throwing with confidence. Body kick by Robertson. 1-1-2 by Robertson, then an overhand right. Saunders sticking his arms out but eating shots. One minute in. Saunders low kick hits groin. Saunders body kick on the restart. Robertson is timing those kicks. Robertson barrels into the clinch. Two minutes in. Saunders working his jab. Robertson low kick. Two minutes in. Saunders landing some solid body kicks. Low kicks and left hook by Robertson. Counter right from Saunders. Robetson high kick, straight right connects. Two minutes to go.

Robertson tags the body. Low kick lands. Saunders tries to go high, eats a left hook. God body kick by Saunders. Robertson continuing to pres forward and ties up. One minute to go. Winging right from Robertson, straight right. Saunders is trying to throw back with his head straight up. Good right hands from Robertson. Good knee by Saunders, clinch. Round 3: Saunders going back to the kicks, lands a right hand. Three-punch combo. Robertson targeting the lead leg. Saunders body kick, 102 and backfist connect. Saunders on the advance on the fading Robertson. Robertson whiffs badly on a spinning back fist and takes Saunders down. Saunders ties him up in mission control, using a pseudo-triangle. Elbows by Saunders. Two minutes in. Robertson starting to pour out blood, although his face can't be seen at the moment. Two minutes to go.

Eddie Bravo shouting for Saunders to switch to the armbar. More nasty elbows by Saunders. Saunders might want to just release him so the ref can see the cut. One minute to go. Bravo's been shouting at Ben to attack the right arm for over a minute now. Robertson slips out and takes top position before the bell. 10-9 Saunders.

Round 1: WIneland highly aggressive early on. Caraway shoots in and takes Wineland down on the fence after eating a body kick. Wineland scrambles up, Caraway has double under, pressing Eddie against the fence. Wineland frames and makes space, circling back to the center. Body shot from Eddie, left hook by Caraway. Two minutes in. Wineland whiffing on the right hands, but moving well. Left hook connects for Caraway. Straight right lands on the chin for Eddie. Right to the body by Wineland, then an inside low kick. Two minutes to go.

Caraway shoots and takes Wineland to the fence, landing a knee to the body. Wineland threatens a high-elbow guillotine and they separate. Wineland slipping most of Caraway's punches. Neither man landing clean. One minute to go. Right hand lands for Caraway, avoiding the counter uppercut. Wineland changes levels, can't get it. 2-3 and knee by Wineland to end the round. 10-9 Caraway.

Round 2: Both men jabbing early. Wineland's power shots just aren't landing. Overhand right from Caraway hits home. Caraway low kick hits groin. One minute in. Left hook and jab from Caraway. Low kick by Wineland. Overhand right from Caraway after eating a two-punch combo. Caraway shoots, Eddie stuffs it. Two minutes in. Both land right hands. Caraway aborts a takedown. Check hook from Caraway. One minute in. Body shot from Wineland, lead right by Caraway. Again, Wineland's accuracy is atrocious. Caraway shoots in, lands some dirty boxing inside. Counter right lands for Eddie. Two minutes in. Caraway whiffs on a right hand, slips on a head kick. Cross counter lands for him. Wineland to the body. Looping right lands for Eddie, straight right lands for Caraway. Hard counters by Eddie, his best shots of the fight. Two minutes to go.

Round 1: Lots of feinting in the early going. Cruickshank looks for the head kick, takes Krause down when Krause tries one. He allows the taller man to stand. Very rapid exchanges early on. Body kick lands for Cruickshank, then a straight left. Body shot connects. Ankle pick trips Krause up. Krause tries a flying knee and they clinch. Krause hits a throw and immediately takes the back, locking up the RNC. Cruickshank taps in a hurry.

Final result: Krause def. Cruickshank by submission (rear-naked choke)

Round 1: Nijem eats a left hand early, then a body kick. 1-2 from Nijem. Holbrook blocks a body kick and shoots in. Ramsey stays up, eating knees from the bodylock. Nijem denies a lift and lands a knee to the body. One minute in. They separate and Nijem whiffs on a right hand. Front kick to the body lands for him. Ramsey completes a knee-tap and takes top position. Holbrook looking for a guillotine. Njiem gets his neck out after threatening a pass. Holbrook very active with strikes and motion off his back. Ramsey nearly to side control. Now he's there. A scramble ensues and Holbrook makes it back to his feet, landing a glancing knee in the clinch. Two minutes to go.

Nijem pressing him against the fence. Right hand on the exit and he opens up, landing a knee on the inside before they separate. Body shot lands for him. Ramsey ducks under a wide swing and takes top position. One minute to go. Holbrook using butterfly hooks. Ramsey slams him with an elbow and a huge right hand as Holbrook spins . Nijem eats an upkick and lands another big right hand, avoiding a triangle on the way down. Both men active with strikes until the bell. 10-9 Nijem..

Round 2: Nijem whiffs on a high kick early, hurts Holbrook with a massive flurry. Holbrook ties up on the fence. Ramsey changes levels, Holbrook threatening the neck. Nijem gets him down and Holbrook works for an arm-in guillotine. One minute in. Nijen gets his head out and nearly takes the back. Granby roll by Holbrook into a kneebar attempt. Ramsey drops some hard punches as they roll. Holbrook nearly gives up his back after looking for a heel hook. Two minutes in. Holbrook tries a straight armbar, then takes top position when Ramsey tries to jump on his back. Full guard. Nijem controlling posture as Holbrook drops short shots. Nijem turns into him and shoots, so Holbrook works for a d'arce. It looks tight. Two minutes to go.

Ramsey gets his head out and shoots in, taking Holbrook down and avoiding a guillotine. The scrambles continue. Now Holbrook getting the better of it and dropping hammerfists. Holbrook goes for the guillotine once again. One minute to go. Holbrook in the front headlock position, Ramsey puts him on his rear with thirty seconds to go. Holbrook controls his posture until the bell. 10-9 Holbrook., barely.

Round 3: Nijem lands a snap kick to the body and wades forward with heavy punches. He changes levels and scores an early takedown. Holbrook turtling, looking for the Sakuraba-style Kimura. Odd position on the mat. Holbrook looking for the kneebar, Ramsey defends with the other leg. One minute in. Holbrook tries another kneebar, then switches to a heel  hook. NIjem defending and landing punches, taking top turtle when he gets his leg free. Back to the Kimura position from earlier. Two minutes in. Head kick lands for Duke and Phillips ties up. Duke counters the takedown and rolls for an armbar. Phillips takes top position and stacks her. Two minutes in. Phillips pulls her arm out and takes top position. Duke moving her legs up. Phillips postures up, fails to pass. Two minutes to go.

Phillips rather sedate from top position. Phillips avoids an armbar and takes side control. She passes to mount, then the back. Phillips dropping punches from back and mount as Duke tries to roll. One minute to go. Phillips looking for the RNC, locks up the body triangle. Duke manages to turn into guard and Phillips whack her with elbows from the back until the bell. 10-9 Phillips.

Round 2: Phillips lands a glancing overhand to start. Another overhand, then a left hook. Knee to the body from Duke, who's starting to throw back. They tie up and jockey for position on the fence. One minute in. Knee to the body by Duke, who latches onto a guillotine. Phillips takes her down, landing in side control safe from the choke. Phillips quickly takes her back and starts dropping punches. Duke regains half guard. Two minutes in. She nearly gives up mount. Round 3: 1-2 by Duke, who's starting to land punches. Jumping knee from Duke. Left hook by Phillips. Duke landing inside. Phillips catches a body kick and they tie up. One minute in. Duke takes her down. Phillips scrambles, avoiding a guillotine. Duke fighting for the guillotine as Phillips tries to take her down.
