"This is great news. I never hid the fact that I am a big fan of your legendary fighter. Fedor is certainly a great athlete and a person worthy of respect. His return is a great moment, as he is a real legend. If Fedor would sign a contract with the UFC, I do not see any problems [with a rematch]."
Ever since Fedor Emelianenko announced that he'd be cutting his retirement short to return to mixed martial arts (MMA), there hasn't been a shortage of people clamoring for a fight against the best heavyweight fighter of all time. If it isn't Frank Mir expressing his desire to face off against "The Last Emperor," it's Andrei Arlovski pining for a rematch. Now, Antonio Silva is making his voice heard, telling Sportbox.ru (via Bloody Elbow) that Fedor returning is nothing but greats news for the sport. While on the mic, "Bigfoot" declared that he has no issues taking on Fedor one more time. Of course, Silva already holds a win over Emelianenko, stopping him back in 2011 under the Strikeforce banner in what was Fedor's second straight defeat. As of now, the Emelianenko sweepstakes are in full effect, but if UFC finally lands the heavy-handed Russian, anyone care to see Silva vs. Fedor part deux?
