"Condit's always an ideal fight for me. A lot of people want to see that fight and of course I think Condit would love to have that fight as much as I would. The only thing is whether Condit, he could end up with a title shot. I know a lot of people were calling they want to see [Robbie] Lawler and Condit fight so I think that would be the only X-Factor. If Condit's not going to fight for the title I think me and him should fight for sure."
-- UFC Welterweight fighter Matt Brown recently spoke with Damon Martin on the "Great MMA Debate" podcast about potential matchups at the top of the 170-pound ladder. A Condit vs. Brown fight was originally inked for Dec. 14, 2013, at UFC on FOX 9. However, in the week leading up to the event, Brown pulled out of the bout citing a back injury and Condit was pulled from the card. The "Immortal" one is coming off a first round submission of Tim Means at UFC 189, a fight in which he said he had anxiety and nervousness because of back-to-back losses to Johny Hendricks and Robbie Lawler. Now that he's back on a win streak, the No. 5-ranked welterweight is once again eyeing the golden prize, but admits he probably has to go through "Natural Born Killer" to get another shot.
