UFC Fight Night 72 live stream results: 'Bisping vs. Leites' play-by-play updates from Glasgow

Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) is back on FOX Sports 1 this Saturday (July 18, 2015) for another round of televised mixed martial arts (MMA) action by way of UFC Fight Night 72 on FOX Sports 1, which takes place inside the SSE Hydro in Glasgow, Scotland.

Bright and early, fight fans, as the UFC Fight Pass "Prelims" get started at 10 a.m. ET.

Michael Bisping headlines this weekend's fight card and will try to do something he hasn't done in over four years, and that's win back-to-back fights. Opposing him is the new-look Thales Leites, who stunk up the place back in 2009, but has since returned to the Octagon and is riding an eight-fight win streak.

The "Bisping vs. Leites" co-main event features The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) 9 champion Ross Pearson in a battle of wily veterans against the hot-and-cold Evan Dunham. Joining the "Real Deal" are international stars Joanne Calderwood and Joseph Duffy, among others.

Round 1: Leites moving forward, lands a leg kick. Another, this one hits groin. Leites wades in, eats a counter right. One minute in. Leites low kick. Bisping juts misses with a 1-1-2. Bisping bounces a head kick off Leites' chin. Another low kick from Leites. Two minutes in. Leites connects with a combination on the fence. He lands an uppercut inside. Lead right connects. Two minutes to go.

Bisping head kick blocked. Leites continuing to target the legs. Bisping answers. Again. Nice counter by Bisping after Leites' most recent low kick. Bisping lands a good right and stuffs a takedown, landing on top. Leites grabs the rear waistlock and Bisping scoots to the fence. Bisping blatantly grabs the fence before the bell. 10-9 Leites.

Round 2: Inside low kick from Leitees. Right hand lands for the Englishman, who avoids a wild counter. Bisping lands his own inside low kicks. Hard right by Bisping. One minute in. Inside leg kick. Leites barrels forwards and eats another counter. Leites lands a glancing right-left counter. Bisping keeping up the inside low kicks and landing counters. Two minutes in. Bisping stumbles. Round 4: Leites flurries to open, landing a left hook. Bisping sticking out his jab. Inside low kick from Bisping. Again. Bisping counters a leg kick with a straight right. One minute in. Round 5: Leites has some spring in his step and stings Bisping on the fence. Nice counter by Bisping. Leites lands a low kick. The Brazilian is throwing with confidence, but eating plenty of counters. One minute in. Both land hard near the fence. Leites lands a low kick, Bisping answers. Left hook from the Brazilian. Hard right hand by Bisping. 1-2 and uppercut from Leites, then a body shot. Bisping stings him with a counter combo. Two minutes in. Leites rattles Bisping again and cracks him with an uppercut. Round 1: Dunham looks for a head kick early. Nice knee up top as Pearson weaves. Hard lead right by the Brit. One minute in. Dunham shoots and takes Pearson down near the fence. Pearson scrambles up, though Dunham still has the rear waistlock. Another takedown from Dunham, who takes Pearson's back and locks up the body triangle. Dunham still working for the choke. Two minutes to go.

Dunham manages to trap an arm and transition to the armbar. Incredibly, Pearson manages to get his arm out and force Dunham to stand with under a minute to go. Pearson on the advance and clubs Dunham with a right hand before the bell. 10-9 Dunham.

Round 2: Pearson on the front foot again. Dunham shoots and plants Pearson. Pearson tries to use an underhook to stand, can't do so. One minute in. Nice right hand by Dunham. Pearson scrambles up and Dunham grabs the rear waistlock. Pearson can't dislodge him. Two minutes in. Dunham working towards the back and manages to take it again. Two minutes to go.

Pearson defending the choke but making no effort to stand. One minute to go. Dunham looks for the arm again. He goes belly-down but can't extend it before the bell. 10-9 Dunham.

Round 3: Dunham tosses out a head kick early. Body kick lands for him. Pearson plodding forward and stops a level change. Body kick from the Brit, who stops another takedown but eats a right hand. One minute in. Uppercut, left straight by Dunham. Dunham shoots and presses Pearson against the fence. Good elbow from the American. Two minutes in. Pearson still defending the takedown. He grabs the front headlock and lands a knee on the break. Dunham ties up again. Pearson lands a knee while Dunham works dirty boxing. Two minutes to go.

Knee to the body from Pearson. Pearson pushes him away, so Dunham changes levels for a single-leg. One minute to go. Good elbow by Dunham, Pearson answers. Nice left hook by Pearson, Dunham shoots yet again. Dunham finally completes the takedown at the bell. 10-9 Dunham.

Round 1: Duffy lands a nice cross, then bounces a head kick off Jorge's guard. The Brazilian looks more aggressive than usual. Left hook lands for the Irishman. Duffy landing cleaner so far, Jorge takes him to the fence. One minute in. Big knee by Duffy kicks off a punching combination. Jorge lands a lead right and left hook, then shoots in. Two minutes in. Knee to the body from Jorge. Another as Duffy separates. Knee to the head as Jorge leans. Counter right by Duffy, then a lead right. Jorge ties up and Duffy latches onto a triangle on the way down. Duffy gets the dominant angle and taps the BJJ black belt.

115 lbs.: Joanne Calderwood vs. Cortney Casey

Round 1: Jojo on the front foot. Casey quickly tags her and forces her back to the fence with a series of heavy punches. Jojo ties up, m lands a good knee to the body amidst the dirty boxing. Casey tries a flying armbar, lands on bottom in guard. One minute in. Casey staying active with her legs, controlling posture and working them higher on Calderwood's back. Two minutes in. Calderwood passes most of the way to half guard, Casey regains full. Ground-and-pound from the Scot. Upkick from Casey, who goes for a leg. Two minutes to go.

50/50 position. Calderwood landing some punches from that position. Calderwood regains top position. One minute in. Nice elbows by Casey, Jojo dropping punches in response. Bell. 10-9 Calderwood.

Round 2: Brazilian kick from Calderwood to open. Calderwood clinches against the cage, lands knees to the body and head. NICE elbows, Casey responds with a hard right hand. Jojo wades in with a nice punching combination, Casey throws back. Jojo shoots in for a single-leg. Casey playing the "grounded opponent" game, but eats some hard knees. One minute in. Casey rolls for a leg and Calderwood takes top position. Two minutes in. Jojo waves her up. Hard left hook and head kick by Jojo. Another heavy left hook met by a Casey right hand. Jojo tries a chopping elbow. Casey to the body. Calderwood lands an overhand right and trips her down from the plum. Two minutes to go.

Half guard for Jojo. Casey trying to invert, eating punches from Jojo. Calderwood drops some elbows. One minute to go. Calderwood waves her up. Spinning back kick and short elbow as Jojo enters the clinch. Knees to the body now. Casey cracks her with a right hand on the break. 2-3 from Jojo snaps Casey's head back and she works from the plum until the bell. 10-9 Calderwood.

Round 3: Jojo active early, lands a teep to the fence and wades into the clinch. The women trade bombs, with Jojo's right hand the best strike of the lot. Spinning elbow from Calderwood. Overhand right connects, then another. Casey's throwing back but giving ground. Spinning back kick sends Casey to the mat and Jojo tries to pound her out. One minute in. Casey manages to survive and Calderwood waves her back up. Straight left and stiff jab by Jojo. 2-3 by Jojo, Casey continues to throw back. Two minutes to go. Calderwood moves into the clinch and Casey rolls for a leg. Calderwood passes to side control. When Casey tosses up her legs, Jojo waves her up. Low kicks and knees from Calderwood, who dumps Casey and waves her up. Two minutes to go.

Casey wades forward and they wing punches. Calderwood moves her to the fence and goes to work with elbows. Casey pulls guard. One minute to go. Elbow and punches from Jojo. Calderwood punches her in the butt a few times, then swings away until the bell. 10-9 Calderwood.

170 lbs.: Leon Edwards vs. Pawel Pawlak

Round 1: Edwards looks to go high early. Body kick lands for him, then both men whiff in an exchange. Wheel kick attempt from Edwards. One minute in. Pawlak just misses on a counter. Hard combination lands for the Englishman, who ties up with double unders. Pawlak landing some knees to the body with his back on the fence. Two minutes in. Edwards clocks him with a left on the break. Pawlak shoots in as Edwards approaches and puts him against the fence. Edwards reverses. Two minutes to go.

Edwards attempts an outside trip. Pawlak reverses after a while, Edwards puts him right back. One minute to go. Edwards sprawls on a shot. Body kick by Pawlak, glancing counter from Edwards. Straight left connects for him. Nice front kick to the body. Straight left, Pawlak retaliates with a punching combo. 10-9 Edwards.

Round 2: Pawlak lands in the first exchange. Head kick lands for Edwards, Pawlak backs him off with a hard left. Front kick to the body from the Englishman. One minute in. Left cross lands for Edwards. Counter right by Pawlak on the fence. Wheel kick and straight left by Edwards. Two minutes in. Pawlak head kick blocked. He backs Edwards off with a couple of rushes. Body kick by Pawlak. Edwards lands the left again and clinches on the fence. Two minutes left.

Not terribly eventful and the ref breaks them up. Pawlak shoots, Edwards winds up on top in half guard. One minute to go. Nice elbows from Edwards. Butterfly guard for Pawlak. Round ends there. 10-9 Edwards.

Round 3: Pawlak pawing early. Edwards head kick goes high, Pawlak answers with a leg kick. Nice counter left by Edwards. Another as Pawlak rushes. Groin strike pauses the action. Body kick from Pawlak on the restart. HUGE head kick flattens Pawlak and Edwards pounces. The Pole manages to survive and control Edwards' posture on the mat. Half guard for Edwards. Body shots land. Edwards allows him to stand. Straight left lands for him. Jumping knee just misses. Lead left once again. Pawlak tries a tired-looking spinning back fist and ties up. Two minutes to go.

Edwards holding him against the fence. Nice elbow on the break by Edwards. Body kick by Pawlak, who ties up again. Edwards reverses again. One minute to go. Good elbow by the Brit. Fight end there. 10-9 Edwards.

Round 1: Ray tries to go high early. Once again, although he slips on this one. 1-2 falls short for Ray. Low kicks from the Brazilian, Ray answers. They tie up and Mafra whacks him with a right. One minute in. Mafra staying busy with body and low kicks. Wheel kick misses for the Scot. Ray lands a right hook after catching a low kick. Two minutes in. Ray rattles Mafra with a left hand and the Brazilian covers up, throwing back. Mafra throwing back furiously but eating big shots and eventually wobbles to the floor, where Ray pounds him out.

Final result: Ray def. Mafra by TKO (punches)

125 lbs.: Paddy Holohan vs. Vaughan Lee

Round 1: Both men flicking out kicks early. Holohan landing snap kicks to the gut. Holohan shoots in, winds up on the bottom in guard against the fence. One minute in. Holohan working towards an armbar, eats some hammerfists for his trouble. Now a triangle attempt from the Irishman. He's got Lee's ankle under his knee, but doesn't have the angle. Two minutes in. Nice elbows from Holohan. He turns to attack the trapped arm. Two minutes to go.

Holohan adjusts his lags for a better grip and gets the dominant angle, although he's having issues with the cage. Now it looks tight. One minute to go. Holohan working on the arm and Lee starts pummeling him with his free arm. Holohan sweeps into top position, but Lee sneaks out the back door and immediately takes Holohan's back, locking up the choke. Holohan manages to break his grip and make it to the bell. 10-9 Holohan.

Round 2: Lee opens with a low kick. Holohan rushes in and shoots on the fence. Holohan rolls through for a leg after eating a knee to the head. Lee takes top position, moving to mount and dropping punches. Holohan counters with a heel hook. Lee gets his knee out but Holohan takes top position. Half guard for the Irishman. Two minutes in. Knee-cut pass and Holohan's in side control. Back to half guard and Holohan goes to work on the left arm, threatening with a Kimura before dropping a nice elbow. Two minutes to go.

Lee regains guard. Holohan stacks him up and drops some hard punches through his legs before taking north-south. Holohan might be looking for an inverted triangle from there. One minute to go. Holohan  looking for a keylock, transitions to an armbar. Twenty seconds to work. Lee takes top position and stacks him, dropping a big hammerfist before the bell. 10-9 Holohan.

Round 3: Front kick from Holohan catches Lee in the junk. Lee takes his time before resetting. Holohan immediately aggressive, stings him with a left hand. One minute in. Front kick to the body from the Irishman. Once again. He tries a jumping kick to the face. Counter left connects for Lee. Two minutes in. Lee to the body, Holohan answers with a three-punch combination. Body shot connects for Lee, answered by a body kick from Holohan. Very sedate pace compared to the prior rounds. Holohan tries a wheel kick. Two minutes to go.

Front kicks to the body from Holohan, then an up-elbow. Lee cracks him with a left cross. Lee is perplexingly inactive, landing the occasional clean shot but not pressing. Lee lands a punch to the thigh. Straight left by Paddy. One minute to go. Lee pops him with a straight left, eats one from Holohan. 1-2 from the Englishman. Holohan shoots in and lands in side control, then moves to north-south and pounds until the bell. 10-9 Holohan.

Final result: Holohan def. Lee by unanimous decision

205 lbs.: Ilir Latifi vs. Hans Stringer

Round 1: Low kick from Latifi to start. Counter right from Stringer after taking a body shot. Latifi low kick, Stringer tries to answer in kind and gets put to sleep with a counter right. The follow-up shots aren't even necessary.

Final result: Latifi def. Stringer by KO (punches)

155 lbs.: Mickael Lebout vs. Teemu Packalen

Round 1: Packalen shoots in immediately, gets stuffed and moved to the fence with double underhooks. Lebout controlling the Finn against the cage. Packalen drags him down, landing on top in half guard. One minute in. Packalen moves directly to mount, but gets caught in half guard before he can do much. Two minutes in. Lebout scrambles into top position, avoiding a Kimura on the way. Packalen active off his back, rolls to his knees. Lebout stands over him and drops a hammerfist as Packalen rolls. Two minutes to go.

Lebout in side control. Packalen tries to turn into him, gets shoved back down with the front headlock. Packalen again goes to turtle. Packalen's moving quite a bit, but not standing or threatening with subs. One minute to go. Lebout grabs the rear crucifix, which allows Packalen to sweep into top position and move right to mount, dropping savage elbows. Lebout manages to put him back in half guard and holds him there until the bell. 10-9 Packalen.

Round 2: Packalen shoots, Lebout sprawls. Packalen tries to sit through, can't do so and pulls guard. Lebout standing over him, kicking at his legs. Ref stands him up. Lebout sprawls again and cracks him with a right hand. Back to the same position as before. Packalen successfully pulls guard and looks for a leg, but can't keep Lebout down. Lebout sneaks in a left hand while standing over him. Two minutes in. Back to their feet, overhand right by Packalen. Spinning back kick lands for him. Body-head by Lebout. Packalen is fading and Lebout tags him to the body. Counter right connects for Packalen. Two minutes to go.

Again, Lebout goes body-head. Packalen shoots and sits through when sprawled on, only for Lebout to land a knee to the back of the head while he's grounded. Didn't look intentional. Stiff right by Lebout on the restart, Packalen answers with a big right but gets clipped while pursuing. Packalen hits a low single and falls back for a leg. One minute to go. He loses it and sits up into half guard. Mount for Packalen with half a minute to work. Lebout makes it to the feet before the bell. 10-9 Lebout.

Round 3: 2-3 by Packalen, then a lead uppercut as he wades into the clinch. Lebout moves him to the fence with double unders. Packalen tries a Sakuraba-style Kimura, can't get it and pulls guard. Lebout standing over him. One minute in. The ref stands him up. Overhand right by Packalen, knee to the body lands and Lebout lands a left hook in response. Another low single from Packalen and Lebout sprawls. Packalen pulls guard, can't keep the Frenchman down. Two minutes in. Lebout whacks his legs a few times. Packalen lands a winging left hook and a body kick as Lebout advances, then shoots in and gets sprawled on. Packalen whiffs on some wide shots. Two minutes to go.

Low single from Packalen again and this time he lands on top. Half guard for the Finn. Lebout tries to elevate, can't dislodge him but then sweeps into side control. Packalen turtles and goes to his back as Lebout stands over him yet again. He stands, Packalen lands a backfist and Lebout lands a right. Packalen pulls guard and Lebout moves to the front headlock, attempting a Peruvian necktie and diving in with a right hand when that fails. Bell. 10-9 Lebout.

Final result: Lebout def. Packalen by unanimous decision

145 lbs.: Paul Redmond vs. Robert Whiteford

Round 1: Redmond on the advance. Right hook from Whiteford. Both land in a close exchange, Whiteford follows with a right hand. Whiteford catches a head kick and cracks Redmond on the way up. Nice counter right by the Scot. One minute in. Brief pause due to eye poke. They tie up and Redmond fails a takedown. Counter right from Whiteford after eating a body shot. Both whiff on bombs. Whiteford doesn't whiff the next time, but eats a right as he's leaning. Two minutes in. Jab to the body from Whiteford, which he's been using well. Straight left lands for him. BIG left hand drops Redmond and a few jackhammer lefts polish the Irishman off.

Final result: Whiteford def. Redmond by TKO (punches)

135 lbs.: Marcus Brimage vs. Jimmie Rivera

Round 1: Rivera looks for the high kick early. Brimage on the counter. Nice exchange, punctuated by a hard shot from Brimage. Cut kick trips Brimage up. Rivera to the body, right hook from Brimage. Straight left by Brimage after eating a body kick. Rivera left hook connects. One minute in. Brimage lands a low kick and a left straight. Overhand right rocks Brimage bad and Rivera unloads. Brimage falls against the cage, so out of it that he tries to fight the ref when he comes in to save him.

Final result: Rivera def. Brimage by TKO (punches)

265 lbs.: Chris de la Rocha vs. Daniel Omielanczuk

Round 1: Omielanczuk cracks him with a straight left, then a right hand and de la Rocha's hurt. High kick lands, then a series of punches. Another nasty right hook rocks the American. Yet another sends him to the ground and de la Rocha is done. Impressive win for Omielanczuk.

Final result: Omielanczuk def. de la Rocha by TKO (punches)
