UFC fighter payouts for those athletes competing at The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) 21 Finale last weekend (Sun., July 12, 2015) on FOX Sports 1 from inside MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, were released earlier today by the Nevada State Athletic Commission (NSAC).
Longtime mixed martial arts (MMA) veteran Jorge Masvidal, who moved up to welterweight after a ho-hum run at 155 pounds, blew away Cezar Ferreira at the "Ellenberger vs. Thompson" event (replay), then blew away the rest of his fellow fighters at the check-cashing window.
To the tune of $102,000.
That includes Jake Ellenberger, who claimed a $73,000 consolation prize after Stephen Thompson kicked his head into the fourth row (watch it). "Wonderboy" won $42,000 for his efforts, which is expected to send him shooting up the 170-pound ladder.
