Now that UFC 189 -- which went down last night (Sat., July 11, 2015) from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada-- is in the books (full results here), it's time to look ahead to Ultimate Fighting Championship's (UFC) next pay-per-view (PPV) event.
And it's a big one.
The promotion released its first video promo for the upcoming UFC 190 PPV event, which is set to pop off on Aug., 1, 2015 from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil and will feature a much-anticipated women's bantamweight title fight between division champ, Ronda Rousey, and No. 1 contender, Bethe Correia.
And folks, there is no love lost between the two women. In fact, "Rowdy" revealed to MMAmania she dislikes the Brazilian more than she does bitter rival Miesha Tate.
That's saying something.
It's all largely because Bethe went a little overboard in her talk trash game after she hit below the belt by mentioning the word suicide in her banter toward Rousey. A big no-no, say "Rowdy," as it is well known that her father took his own life when she was young.
Despite apologies from Bethe, Ronda has promised to deliver a one-side beatdown come fight night.
Also on the card, Mauricio Rua looks to get back on the winning track as he takes in his old PRIDE FC nemesis, Antonio Rogerio Nogueira, in the co-main event bout. "Lil Nog's" older brother, Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira, also makes his long-awaited return as he takes on Stefan Struve in heavyweight action.
