It was a battle for South Florida bragging rights -- as well as $300,000 in cash -- when American Top Team (ATT) and Blackzilians went to war last Sunday night (July 12, 2015) at The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) 21 Finale, staged inside MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Representing ATT was Hayder Hassan, who won three fights during the combat sports reality show and wanted to tie a ribbon around season 21 by upsetting Blackzilians rival Kamaru Usman. Unfortunately for "Hulk," he was unable to smash the powerful wrestler and found himself on the wrong end of a submission.
No matter.
Hassan will likely get a call back from Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) based on his potential, while Usman gets to start working his way toward the top 15 of the division. Fortunately for both men, the 170-pound weight class is not short on talent, so expect to see them back inside the cage sooner, rather than later.
