The dollar amount of the custom-made suits housed in the Las Vegas, Nevada-based Mac Mansion is probably in the ten's of thousands.
Ultimate Fighting Championship(UFC) featherweight No. 1 contender Conor McGregor understands this is a product of hard work. The 26-year-old Irishman, who has criss-crossed the entire globe for media obligations over the past several months, showed off his collection of suits, dress shoes, and Reebok gear for fight fans on episode eight of the UFC video blog "Embedded."
Both "Notorious" and interim 145-pound title opponent Chad Mendes, who collide on Sat. night (July 11, 2015) in Las Vegas, Nevada, have been readying themselves for battle since the week began. The pair turn out, as well as welterweight co-main event stars Robbie Lawler and Rory MacDonald, for the UFC 189 open workouts on Wednesday (watch them here).
"Sometimes it's tough when there is none [hype]. You have to stay motivated in the gym when you're going through the same grind every single day," says Mendes. "When you've got someone feeding you fire, it definitely makes for a more interesting training camp."
"Money" would later say to commentators Daniel Cormier and Kenny Florian on UFC Tonight that he hits like "Mike Tyson in there and I'm looking to put someone asleep."
Lastly, the Dublinator and Mendes make their way into the KA Theater inside the MGM Grand Garden Arena where they would trade various obscenities and threats (replay here). McGregor would basically call Mendes' stand-up skills rudimentary, while the latter continued to lament he would "destroy this dude."
