Top 145-pound contender Conor McGregor just knocked out Chad Mendes and left the UFC 189 pay-per-view (PPV) event as the interim featherweight champion.

So says the EA Sports UFC simulator, which also predicted the welterweight title fight between Robbie Lawler and Rory MacDonald, which takes place in the UFC 189 co-main event (watch that video here).

We won't know if life imitates art for another 24 hours or so, as "Mendes vs. McGregor" pops off this Sat. night (July 11, 2015) inside the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada (see the full fight card here).
