No fancy headlines needed for this one, fight fans, the results speak for themselves.
Fabricio Werdum unified the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) heavyweight titles with a shocking, third-round submission win over Cain Velasquez in the UFC 188 pay-per-view (PPV) main event (watch it), which took place last Saturday night (June 13, 2015) inside Arena Mexico in Mexico City, Mexico.
That's not all.
Despite getting his eye pushed in by Gilbert Melendez in the opening frame (pic), former Bellator lightweight champion Eddie Alvarez stormed back in rounds two and three of their co-main event to capture a tight split-decision win over ex-Strikeforce nemesis Gilbert Melendez (replay).
And how about that Yair Rodriguez?
