Matt Mitrione calls out Travis Browne for UFC battle of 'elite strikers'

David Manning-USA TODAY Sports

Matchmaking made easy, presented by Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) heavyweight Matt Mitrione.

Not surprisingly, "Meathead" is in a big hurry to erase his "stupid" first-round submission loss to Ben Rothwell, which came at the UFC Fight Night 68 event last weekend (Sat., June 6, 2015) inside the Smoothie King Center in New Orleans, Louisiana (watch it).

And he already has a dance partner in mind (via Twitter):

"What say you, Travis Browne? We both feel we're elite strikers. Let's sign the dotted line and prove who's best. One of us rights the ship. I respect you and think you're solid. Hell, apparently just touch my neck and I lose. Easy night. C'mon son let's give UFC a fight."

Sounds like a fun fight.

Browne is also licking his wounds after a first-round technical knockout loss to friend and training partner Andrei Arlovski. The UFC 187 pay-per-view (PPV) beatdown (video replay here) put a screeching halt to his march towards the division title.

Would an "easy night" against Mitrione get him back in the hunt?
