Time to gas up the Bat-Truck, because the beard coming to "Sin City."
Former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) welterweight champion Johny Hendricks will be in attendance at the upcoming UFC 189: "Aldo vs. McGregor" pay-per-view (PPV) event, which is locked and loaded for MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, on July 11, 2015.
And you can bet he'll be mic'd up.
"Bigg Rigg" will be front and center for the UFC 189 co-main event, a welterweight showdown pitting Robbie Lawler vs. Rory MacDonald. "Ruthless" captured the crown last December and will now put it on the line against "Red King" (more on that here), with the winner moving on to defend against Hendricks.
That's according to last Wednesday's edition of UFC Tonight.
Hendricks (17-3) was able to rebound from his Lawler loss by turning away welterweight slugger Matt Brown. That win, coupled with the lack of depth at 170 pounds, was enough to get him back to the championship. Not to mention his loss to "Ruthless" was razor-thin.
Now he stands on the precipice of a rubber match, or a new foe altogether.
