Top Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) heavyweight contender Stipe Miocic -- and his pillow -- will throw hands opposite No. 5-ranked Mark Hunt (10-9-1) at Saturday night's (May 9, 2015) UFC Fight Night 65 mixed martial arts (MMA) event "Down Under," scheduled for the Adelaide Entertainment Centre in Adelaide, South Australia.
And according to Miocic (via Submission Radio), he's a better striker than the former K-1 kickboxing champion.
"I think everyone has knockout power, it's the heavyweight division. Everyone has four-ounce gloves on, and they're big boys and they can throw hard. [Junior dos Santos] has knockout power and walk away power. So you know I'm gonna do my game plan and be fine with it. Definitely my speed, my foot skills, my wrestling; you know all that. I have better stand-up."
Mark Hunt, on the other hand, tells Submission Radio that he's perfectly comfortable winning by submission.
"How we're going to entertain the fans is what we always do, and that's put on a great show for the fans so they get their money's worth. You know? We ain't running nowhere. Well I ain't. I can win either way. It depends on where it goes or where he wants to take it. If it goes to the ground, then you know, [I'll be] looking for a submission there or just knocking him out. I'm always trying to win by knocking somebody out. It's my forte."
Alrighty then.
