The dust has barely settled on UFC Fight Night 67: "Condit vs. Alves," which means it's time to honor those select fighters who went above and beyond in their respective fights last night (Sat., May 30, 2015) live on FOX Sports 1 from inside the Goiania Arena in Goiania, Goias, Brazil (results and play by play here).
Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) dished out its standard post-fight monetary bonuses to four of the 24 fighters on the card. The big winner of the night was Charles Oliveira, who walked away with two bonus checks to the tune of $100,000 after submitting Nik Lentz in the very first round via guillotine.
That was good enough to earn him a "Performance of the Night" check as well as "Fight of the Night" honors for an entertaining featherweight scrap. The good news for "Carney" is that despite getting choked out, he earned a cool $50,000 for his efforts in defeat.
That's not all.
Rony Jason also earned a $50,000 bonus check for his triangle choke submission win over Damon Jackson in the first round on the preliminary portion of the event.
Fun night!
Here are the special UFC Fight Night 67 bonuses:
Fight of the Night -- Charles Oliveira vs. Nik Lentz
Performance of the Night -- Charles Oliveira
Performance of the Night -- Rony Jason
Again, each fighter received $50,000 extra for their performances in addition to their respective base salaries, which UFC will more than likely keep confidential since it was an international event.
