Charles Oliveira settled his unfinished business tonight (Sat., May 30, 2015) in Brazil.
"Do Bronx" put on a show, submitting Nik Lentz in their featherweight co-main event at UFC Fight Night 67 on FOX Sports 1 from inside Goiania Arena in Goiania, Brazil.
After a strong first round from the Brazilian, "The Carny" came back firing in the second frame and the fight was likely tied at a round apiece heading into the third and final round.
As if the fight wasn't exciting enough, Oliveira latched on to a deep guillotine and masterfully choked out Lentz just 70 seconds into the final round. The finish earned "Do Bronx" $50,00 for "Performance of the Night," and he pocketed another $50k for "Fight of the Night" as well.
Check out the finish in the highlights below:
Of course, this wasn't the first time Lentz was tapped by "Do Bronx." The Pennsylvania State Athletic Commission overruled Oliveira's submission finish over Lentz from 2011 based on instant replay, which showed the Brazilian's illegal knee sneaking past referee Chip Snider and landing on "The Carny's" dome way back at their UFC on Versus 4 lightweight battle.
Score finally settled.
