Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao consummated five years of avoidance last night (Sat., May 2, 2015), colliding in the "Fight of the Century" inside MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.

And it didn't live up to the incredible expectations. But, how could it?
Mayweather, oddly, came out aggressive and then frustrated Pacquiao for 12 straight rounds en route to a lopsided unanimous decision 118-110, 116-112 and 116-112 on all three judges scorecards. Pacquiao had a few bright spots when he trapped Mayweather along the ropes, but they were few and far between.
In fact, he landed little more than 80 punches in the entire fight, while Mayweather -- who threw far less -- almost doubled him up with more than 140.
In other words, it was a vintage technically-brilliant Mayweather performance and a disappointing one from Pacquiao, who said after the fight that he thought he won.
It wasn't close.
