Bellator 140: Brennan Ward vs Gavin Sterritt fight added to Spike TV main card

Popular "Irish Bad Boy" of Bellator MMA, Brennan Ward (10-3), will now have to face the charge of an oncoming "War Horse" at Bellator 140: "Lima vs. Koreshkov," which takes place at Mohegan Sun in Uncasville, Conn., on July 17, 2015.

Fresh off a first round rear-naked choke finish of Curtis Millender at Bellator 134, Ward has been rewarded with another televised bout on Spike TV against fellow Welterweight Gavin Sterritt. "War Horse" has compiled a 6-1 record to date, including wins in both of his previous Bellator fights. He hasn't been seen in the cage in more than one year, where he submitted Mike Estus with a guillotine choke at Bellator 114.

The match up enhances a card already headlined by Welterweight champion Douglas Lima (26-5), who will make his long-awaited first title defense against the outstanding and almost unblemished Andrey Koreshkov (17-1).
