"I never really ate greens. What I always did do was I always ate peanut butter and honey and I ate it all day. There's not much nutritional value in that. I just love peanut butter and I love honey so I just put them together. That's just how I grew up. I wouldn't even eat dinner. I would just always eat peanut butter. My mom used to hate it.
I would eat the pizza and bagels. I would go to town on Italian food. I would just be out of shape then by the time training camp comes I would have to get fully in-shape and become an athlete again."
Before Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) middleweight kingpin Chris Weidman became an elite level mixed martial arts (MMA) fighter, "The All American" was an NCAA Division I All-American with a nasty habit for eating unhealthy foods. Speaking with Ask Men, the 30-year old admitted he was an avid lover of peanut butter and italian food. Thankfully, the UFC champ has altered his diet tremendously, which has helped him attain middleweight glory inside the Octagon. Even with temptations, Weidman knows he has to be strict with his diet in order to maintain elite-level physique. Considering he made 185 pounds easily (watch the weigh-in replay here) for his scheduled title defense against Vitor Belfort -- which is scheduled to go down tomorrow (Sat., May 23, 2015) at UFC 187 live on pay-per-view (PPV) from the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nevada -- it is apparent Weidman is doing a pretty swell job of laying off the peanut butter jar.
