UFC Fight Night 74: Ovince Saint Preux vs. Glover Teixeira headliner booked for Aug. 8 in Nashville

Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) has booked a slam-bang main event for the upcoming UFC Fight Night 74 mixed martial arts (MMA) event on FOX Sports 1, recently announced for Aug. 8, 2015 inside the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee.

I'm referring, of course, to the 205-pound showdown pitting Ovince Saint Preux against Glover Teixeira.

Saint Preux (18-6) is coming off his second straight knockout in as many attempts. After burying Mauricio Rua last November in Brazil, the Strikeforce import followed that up by toe-tagging Patrick Cummins at UFC on FOX 15 just last month.

A finish like that over the Brazilian this August is a surefire way to get into the light heavyweight title hunt.

That won't be so easy against Teixeira (22-4), who knows a thing or two about big finishes. While G-Tex is coming off back-to-back losses for the first time in his combat sports career, he's still regarded as one of the most dangerous strikers at 205 pounds, evidenced by his 13 knockouts.

Interesting match up ... early predictions?

No other fights have been announced for the UFC Fight Night 74 fight card, which will likely air "Prelims" on UFC Fight Pass, but you can expect that to change over the next few weeks.
