Kazakh destroyer Gennady Golovkin, arguably the most feared and devastating man in the sport of boxing, returns to the ring this Saturday night (May 16, 2015) inside The Forum in Los Angeles, Calif., for the first time since demolishing Martin Murray.
In his way stands once-beaten southpaw Willie Monroe, Jr., who will make a bid for Golovkin's various titles in the main event of an HBO boxing doubleheader.
In the build up for their bout, SBNation got a look at Golovkin's preparations. See him work the pads with trainer Abel Sanchez, who is a significantly braver man than I am for willingly subjecting his hands to GGG's thunderous power. The jazzy horn accompaniment is pretty nice, too.
We've also got these quality pics from Esther Lin. I particularly enjoy Golovkin's goofy smile in the second one. Please don't tell him I said that.

Since UFC Fight Night 66 is going down earlier in the morning (results and play-by-play here), you'll be able to catch both "Edgar vs. Faber" and the HBO card, which I highly recommend.
Not only do you get to see Golovkin in action against a skilled opponent, it's also the HBO debut of one of the pound-for-pound elite, the best fighter you've never heard of: Roman "Chocolatito" Gonzalez. You want truly elite fighters who can knock fools out? You've got them.
See you there, folks.
