Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) featherweight No. 1 contender, Conor McGregor, was in attendance for the funeral of late Irish gangster Paul Kavanagh, who was gunned down outside his rented home earlier this week in Drumcondra.
Kavanagh, 27, is survived by his partner Gemma and his daughters Meadow and Matilda.

The Irish Times brings word of McGregor's appearance.
The 26-year-old from Tallaght, who has been a rising star in the popular fighting sport, was dressed in a blue checked suit and tie, and sporting his trademark beard and slicked hair. Despite the lugubrious occasion, he posed for photographs with many of those present at the service in the Church of Our Lady of Good Counsel on the Mourne Road, Drimnagh.
"Notorious" indeed.
McGregor is expected to make his return to the Octagon at the UFC 189 pay-per-view (PPV) event in July, where he'll face off against featherweight champion Jose Aldo in what is likely to be a five-round barnburner between two of the division's top strikers.
