UFC Fight Night 63 bonuses: Chad Mendes, Dustin Poirier, Juliana Pena and more bank an extra $50,000 in Fairfax

The dust has barely settled on UFC Fight Night 63: "Mendes vs. Lamas" from Fairfax, Va., which means it's time to honor those select fighters who went above and beyond in their respective fights this afternoon (Sat., April, 2015) inside Patriot Center.

Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) dished out its standard post-fight monetary bonuses to four of the 20 fighters on the card, and it's probably no surprise who is heading home from Fairfax with a little extra grease for their efforts.

Chad Mendes, unsurprisingly, was recognized for his thrilling first round destruction of Ricardo Lamas, who held on for as long as he could in the FOX Sports 1 main event despite a one-sided assault (read full recap here). Juliana Pena -- who returned after more than one year on the sidelines -- was also rewarded for taking Milana Dudieva out behind the woodshed en route to a first round stoppage, too (read full recap here).

That's not all.

Dustin Poirier was singled out for icing Diego Ferreira in his Lightweight debut, while Timothy Johnson also got on the bonus tip thanks to his technical knockout victory over Shamil Abdurahimov on the "Prelims" under card.

Once again, there was no "Fight of the Night." Here are the special UFC Fight Night 63 bonuses:

Again, each fighter received $50,000 extra for their performances in addition to their respective base salaries, which we will pass along if and when Virginia's athletic commission makes that information available later this week.
