UFC Fight Night 63 results: Julianna Pena returns, destroys Milana Dudieva within one round

Esther Lin

Julianna Pena finally returned to the Octagon this afternoon (Sat., April 4, 2015) following what Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) President Dana White called "the worst injury ever" that had The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) season 18 winner on the sidelines for well over a year. In her first fight since winning the show in late 2013, "The Venezuelan Vixen" put on an impressive performance against Milana Dudieva on the UFC Fight Night 63 main card in Fairfax, Virginia.

Pena came out ultra aggressive with strikes and was nearly slammed by Dudieva, but somehow thwarted the takedown. In response, the TUF winner clinched Dudieva to the fence, but was hip tossed to the mat moments later. Pena got up quickly, took down Dudieva, and stepped immediately into mount.

After a series of vicious hammerfists and elbows -- including several double hammerfists a la Josh Samman -- Dudieva turned to give up her back. Pena looked to be working for a choke momentarily before she turned Dudieva back over and continued her vicious assault. After several more hammerfists and elbows the ref finally stepped in and stopped the onslaught.

"The Venezuelan Vixen" definitely put the women's bantamweight division on notice today.
