Video: Watch somber, soft-spoken Jon Jones' full court appearance

Being in court is a lot like being in the military: Keep your trap shut and don't speak unless spoken to.

Former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) light heavyweight champion Jon Jones appeared before Judge Maria Dominguez on Tuesday (April 28, 2015) inside Bernalillo County Metropolitan Court in Albuquerque, New Mexico, to answer for felony charges of hit-and-run.

Our full report with all the gratuitous details right here.

Flanked by attorneys, a stoic and soft-spoken Jones (far cry from this) did not dispute the probable cause that led to his arrest on Monday; however, he also did not enter a plea as he waits for the district attorney to move forward with an indictment over the next 60 days.

"Bones" was recently released on $2500 bond.

In his absence -- from just about everywhere -- Daniel Cormier and Anthony Johnson will battle for the vacant 205-pound title at the UFC 187 pay-per-view (PPV) event on May 23 in Las Vegas, Nevada, and it appears the trash talking for that impromptu showdown has already begun.
