Talk about cutting it close!

Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Flyweight titleholder Demetrious Johnson finally found the finish, after he picked apart Japanese mixed martial artist (MMA) and No. 1 contender Kyoji Horiguchi for roughly 25 minutes, securing the armbar victory in a thrilling UFC 186 pay-per-view (PPV) event last night (April 25, 2015).

The UFC doled out its customary performance bonuses to four of the 24 fighters on the Canadian card. Fight fans witnessed a spectacle this evening, including the main card opener between electrifying bantamweight strikers Thomas Almeida and Yves Jabouin.

The undefeated 135-pound contender Almeida leaves the Montreal with a little more cash then he came with after he dispatched the Tristar gym representative in the first round with strikes. Lightening fast lightweights Chad Laprise and Bryan Barberena also went to war for 15 minutes, earning themselves a hefty check in the process.

There was plenty of wealth spread around as UFC President Dana White awarded bonuses to Johnson, Almeida, Chad Laprise and Barberena.

Each of the aforementioned fighters will an extra $50,000 for the crowd-pleasing services on top of what they already earn in base salary, which we will pass along if and when the Quebec commission makes that information available later this week.

Those who didn't get bonuses were promised by White to receive an extra check in the mail down the road.
