We're now just about one week away from the "Fight of the Century" between Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao, which takes place next weekend (Sat., April 25, 2015) inside MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.
And with an event so unprecedented, the promotional duties shared between premium cable giants HBO and Showtime, it's no surprise that both networks are pulling out all the stops.
The latest offering airs later tonight (early tomorrow) with "The Legends Speak" on HBO, which will air immediately following "HBO World Championship Boxing" at approximately 12:15 a.m. ET.
Here is all you need to know about the special presentation:
"The half-hour special will open with Lampley and Kellerman setting the stage for the mega-fight. Then Lampley sits down with Oscar de la Hoya and Shane Mosley, who faced both Mayweather and Pacquiao, to talk about how they trained and fought them and what they think each fighter will need to do to win the upcoming showdown. HBO also captured interviews with middleweight title-holder Miguel Cotto, Mexican superstar Juan Manuel Marquez and former British boxing sensation Ricky Hatton, all of whom fought Pacquiao and Mayweather in the Las Vegas spotlight. The closing segment will be hosted by Kellerman, who will anchor a roundtable discussion with three Hall of Fame fighters who know what it is like to train and excel for a super fight that captures the world’s attention. Panelists include former heavyweight champs George Foreman and Lennox Lewis and former middleweight and light heavyweight champ Bernard Hopkins."
Not included, unsurprisingly, is ultra-legend Muhammad Ali; however, he shared his preference through his daughter, Laila Ali, earlier in the process right here.
