Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) will now be working with about 50 percent of the original real estate afforded to its UFC 186: "Johnson vs. Horiguchi" pay-per-view (PPV) event, scheduled for this Saturday night (April 24, 2015) in Montreal, Quebec, Canada (results here).
That's what happens when you eliminate Steve Bosse and lose 2-3,000 tickets.
With less than four days to go before the event, UFC officials made the decision to close half the 21,273-capacity Bell Centre, according to a report from MMA Nouvelles (via Bloody Elbow). That means fans sitting in the 200, 300, and 400 sections will now get pushed down into better seats.
The rest of you can scoop up what's left for just $68.25.
The UFC 186 fight card proved to be a revolving door of talent. TJ Dillashaw vs. Renan Barao was pulled from the headliner due to injury, while Rory MacDonald vs. Hector Lombard was scrapped because of roids. And let's not forget the Rampage Jackson fiasco.
If main card middleweight Michael Bisping hopes to save this weekend's card, as promised, he better get busy.
