The GLORY 21 fight card is finalized for the promotion's first trek to San Diego, California, on May 8, 2015. The event will be the 11th fight card to air on Spike, starting at 11 p.m. ET.
GLORY's reigning middleweight champion, Artem "The Lion" Levin, will be putting his belt on the line against Simon "Bad Bwoy" Marcus, who earned his shot at the title after winning the middleweight contender tournament at GLORY 20 in Dubai on April 3, 2015.
Marcus earned decision victories over both Wayne Barrett and Jason Wilnis to win the Ramon Dekkers memorial trophy and right to face the champion. The No. 1-ranked fighter in the middleweight division defeated Levin under muay thai rules in a bout for the Lion Fight promotion in 2013.
Levin last fought for GLORY in the "Last Man Standing" tournament in June of 2014. On that evening, the Russian champion defeated Alex Pereira, Filip Verlinden, and Joe Schilling to win the inaugural GLORY middleweight title.
In the co-main event, American welterweight Raymond "Real Deal" Daniels will take on Justin "Raw Deal" Baesman, a 16-7 MMA veteran. Daniels lost the middleweight contender tournament final against Nieky Holzken at GLORY 19 after finishing Jonatan Oliveira in the semifinals by technical knockout.
GLORY will host its second fight between two armed forces combatants in association with the Spike campaign, Veterans Operation Wellness (VOW). Devin Goodale of the U.S. Navy will take on Kyle Stewart of the U.S. Marine Corps in a middleweight contest.
At GLORY 21, there will once again be a one-night tournament, which is the GLORY staple.
This one will be a four-man qualifier in the heavyweight division, with the winner earning a spot in a future contender tournament. Originally billed as an "All-American" tournament, GLORY has changed things up a bit and "Chopper" Chi Lewis-Parry will step in for Cody East and face Evertt "Wolverine" Sims in the semifinal round. In the opposing bracket, Xavier "X-Man" Vigney takes on Maurice "The Gorilla" Jackson.
