Andrew Richardson-USA TODAY Sports

"Mighty Mouse" vs. "The Karate Kid" ain't just fan-fiction anymore.

Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Flyweight Champion Demetrious Johnson will look to earn an incredible sixth-straight title defense in the Great White North this Saturday night (April 25, 2015), headlining UFC 186 at Bell Centre in Montreal, Canada. Opposing him is one of Japan's brightest talents, Kyoji Horiguchi -- an understudy of the great "Kid" Norifumi Yamamoto -- who has picked up wins in all four of his Octagon appearances.

Elsewhere on the pay-per-view (PPV) card, "The Iron Hillbilly" himself, Fabio Maldonado, will welcome "Rampage" Quinton Jackson back to the Octagon after more than two years away, while Michael Bisping and C.B. Dollaway collide to re-assert their places in the Middleweight Top 10.

It looks to be an entertaining card. Let's find out if we can't turn the PPV purchase into a net gain:

UFC 186 Odds For The Under Card:

Patrick Cote (-195) vs. Joe Riggs (+168)
Sarah Kaufman (-190) vs. Alexis Davis (+165)
Chad Laprise (-325) vs. Bryan Barberena (+265)
Olivier Aubin-Mercier (-350) vs. David Michaud (+290)
Valerie Letourneau (-175) vs. Jessica Rakoczy (+155)
Randa Markos (-260) vs. Aisling Daly (+220)

Thoughts: I know their first fight was Davis’ debut and that Davis took a round clearly in the rematch, but I don’t see how you beat someone twice and still wind up as less than a -200 favorite, especially when your opponent is coming off of the most humiliating defeat of her life at the hands of Ronda Rousey. I expect Kaufman to win this one rather easily -- her volume and pressure are well-suited to overwhelming Davis on the feet and she should have the takedown defense to make this almost entirely a striking battle.

In fact, a good-sized by on Kaufman is probably the best investment on the card.

You can make the odds even better by parlaying her with Aubin-Mercier, who looks to have every conceivable advantage over David Michaud. The two Canadians make a nice parlay couple.

UFC 186 Odds For The Main Card:

Demetrious Johnson (-1000) vs. Kyoji Horiguchi (+650)
Quinton Jackson (-300) vs. Fabio Maldonado (+220)
Michael Bisping (-140) vs. C.B. Dollaway (+120)
John Makdessi (-175) vs. Shane Campbell (+155)
Thomas de Almeida (-450) vs. Yves Jabouin (+360)

Thoughts: The main card was a lot more bountiful when T.J. Dillashaw was still here and only slightly favored over Renan Barao. I was going to recommend Bisping if he hadn’t lost so badly to Tim Kennedy, but alas. You’d probably be better served mining the "Prelims" under card for value.

UFC 186 Best Bets:

  • Parlay -- Sarah Kaufman and Olivier Aubin-Mercier: Bet $70 to make $67.30

A fun title fight and Rampage against someone who will happily stand and trade with him. Is it worth $50? Well, that's for you to decide.

See you Saturday, Maniacs ... maybe.

Remember that MMAmania.com will deliver live UFC 186 results on fight night, which is as good a place as any to talk about all the action inside the Octagon, as well as what you've got riding on the sportsbook.

Initial Investment for 2015: $200
Current Balance: $358.92
