UFC 186's Demetrious Johnson not impressed with Conor McGregor, needs just 15 seconds to take out Floyd Mayweather

It seems like everyone wants a piece of Floyd Mayweather ahead of his showdown with Manny Pacquiao next weekend (Sat., May 2, 2015).

And "everyone" on the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) roster would be able to "kick his ass" if provided the mixed martial arts (MMA) opportunity.

Even the girls!

Featherweight phenom, Conor McGregor, though, took it to a new level (as he so often does), boasting that he could handle boxing's undefeated pound-for-pound great in just 30 seconds. Mayweather reacted, claiming he didn't take the attention-grabbing Irishman seriously.

Wonder what "Money" will think about the latest prediction, this one from Flyweight champion, Demetrious Johnson:

"I’m not impressed [with Conor McGregor's prediction] — I can do it in 15 [seconds]. The skill set of a mixed martial artist outweighs a boxer’s by far. Boxing is one dimension, while mixed martial arts there are so many dimensions. We can take it to the ground, I can blow his [knee out] with a heel hook. All that stuff he doesn’t know about. Conor McGregor, he’s right on par with 30 seconds. For me, being the fastest man in mixed martial arts, I think I can get it done in 15 seconds. He has 30 seconds to run from Conor, and I’m faster than Conor, so I’ll be able to get to him and take out that knee of his."

At least Johnson -- who is among the smallest male UFC fighters -- offers a realistic means of winning. He wouldn't stand much of a chance unless it was via something other than striking.

But, it's safe to say that his 15-second claim is nothing more than promotion for his upcoming title fight against Kyoji Horiguchi in the main event of UFC 186, which takes place this Saturday night (April 25, 2015) inside Bell Centre in Montreal, Quebec.

Who wouldn't want to hitch onto the Benjamin-plated "Money" train?
