Hard-hitting featherweight veteran Dennis Siver has been paired off against international superstar Tatsuya Kawajiri for the upcoming UFC Fight Night 69 mixed martial arts (MMA) event on Fight Pass, set for June 20, 2015 inside the O2 World Arena in Berlin, Germany.
MMA in Asia first reported the bout on Thursday.
Siver (22-10) was last seen playing cannon fodder for 145-pound wunderkind Conor McGregor, who finished the German kickboxer by way of technical knockout at the UFC Fight Night 59 event earlier this year in Boston, Massachusetts. The loss to "Notorious" dropped him to 1-2 (1 NC) over the past two years.
Kawajiri (33-8-2), meanwhile, watched his six-fight winning streak go up in smoke against the rough-and-tumble Clay Guida just over one year ago. "Crusher" has been riding the pine since their fight in Abu Dhabi and will have something to prove in Berlin.
UFC Fight Night 69 will be headlined by former division No. 1 contenders Alexander Gustafsson and Glover Teixeira, and you can expect more fight announcements to trickle in over the coming days.
Stay tuned.
