You likely won't be seeing Cub Swanson inside the Octagon anytime soon.
The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) featherweight contender was not only beatdown and submitted last night (Sat., April 18, 2015) at the hands of Max Holloway (highlights here), but "Killer" Cub also suffered a broken jaw and hand during the three round affair.
Well a broken jaw and a broken right hand...just another day at the office lol. I love all my fans. Thanks for your support ❤️

Rough night.
Swanson just looked out his element in New Jersey, and whether or not that was due to the suffocating pressure and striking of Max Holloway, the former top contender simply could not string together any impressive combinations throughout the fight.
The loss was Swanson's second in a row -- both of which have ended via submission late -- following the featherweight's six fight winning streak.
Even after the tough outing, Swanson had nothing but respect for his opponent.
You did you're thing tonight. Congrats @BlessedMMA

At 31-years old, and moving in the wrong direction in the division rankings, Swanson is going to need to heal up and string together a handful of wins in order to become relevant in the title discussion once again.
