Ronaldo Souza put in another electric performance inside the Octagon last night (Sat., April 18, 2015) against Chris Camozzi in the co-main event of UFC on FOX 15, which took place inside Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey. "Jacare" once again submitted his short notice late replacement, this time opting for an armbar in only two and a half minutes.
The finish came a minute quicker than Souza's brilliant arm-triangle submission over Camozzi at UFC on FX 8 two years ago.
The Brazilian's dominant performance improved his UFC record to a perfect 5-0, and Souza has not lost since losing his Strikeforce middleweight title to Luke Rockhold via decision way back in 2011.
Unfortunately for "Jacare," he did not get to cement his No. 1 contender's status last night because Yoel Romero pulled out of their scheduled bout just last week. With Rockhold tearing apart Lyoto Machida in the night's main event (highlights here), you can expect the American to leapfrog Souza for the next UFC title shot.
