UFC on FOX 15 medical suspensions: Lyoto Machida, Felice Herrig and more out indefinitely

It's time to find out who is worse for wear after the UFC on FOX 15 fight card that took place on Saturday night (April 18, 2015) in Newark, NJ.

The New Jersey State Athletic Control Board (NJSAB) has released the medical suspensions and injuries for the fighters who participated in the UFC on FOX 15 fight card, which took place at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey on Saturday evening (April 18, 2015).

Heading the list is Lyoto Machida, who lost to Luke Rockhold by rear-naked choke in the second round of the main event (highlights here). The former UFC light heavyweight champion is suspended indefinitely pending a CT head scan.

Chris Camozzi: suspended indefinitely pending orthopedic clearance of right elbow

Max Holloway: suspended indefinitely pending CT head scan, x-ray of jaw, x-ray of right thumb

Cub Swanson:

suspended indefinitely pending CT head scan
suspended indefinitely pending x-ray of jaw
suspended indefinitely pending x-ray of right thumb.

Felice Herrig: suspended 45 days no contact for rest/recovery
suspended indefinite pending CT head scan
suspended indefinite pending CT facial bones

Beniel Dariush: suspended 30 days for chin laceration healing

Patrick Cummins: suspended 30 days no contact for KO

Corey Anderson: suspended 30 days no contact for TKO.

suspended indefinite pending ENT clearance of mandible

Gian Villante: suspended indefinitely pending orthopedic clearance of right ankle/foot

Takeya Mizugaki: suspended indefinitely pending orthopedic clearance of left knee

Aljamain Sterling: suspended indefinitely pending orthopedic clearance of right hand/right pelvic x-ray

George Sullivan: suspended 30 days no contact for rest/recovery period

Jimmy Hettes: suspended 60 days for facial (right and left lateral brows) laceration healing

Just a quick reminder: Fighters often return to action much quicker once doctors give them the green light. The lengthy suspensions are just a precaution in most cases. In addition, not all injuries are recorded during the post-fight examination and often times surface in follow-up tests.
