Paige VanZant is the real deal ladies and gentleman.
The Team Alpha Male product put on a clinic last night (Sat., April 18, 2015) against Felice Herrig on the main card of UFC on FOX 15, which took place inside Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey. "12 Gauge" put an absolute beating on "Lil' Bulldog," proving her UFC debut was not a fluke.
Although VanZant didn't get the finish, her statistical output was staggering; she outstruck Herrig by over 100 strikes!
With so much hype behind VanZant coming in -- including a Reebok sponsorship -- the 21-year old passed her test with flying colors.
UFC President Dana White actually compared VanZant to No. 1 ranked featherweight Conor McGregor after the event, noting both fighters burst onto the scene, gaining a huge following do to their shared "it" factor.
Could VanZant, too be on her way to a shot at UFC gold, or are there fights that need to play out before she gets a shot at Joanna Jedrzejczyk?
