Stop me if you have heard this one before.
Someone on the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) roster claims they can beat a world champion Boxer because the pugilist is nothing more than a neophyte on the mat.
While most believe it started with UFC women's bantamweight champ Ronda Rousey calling out Floyd Mayweather, it was actually UFC president Dana White who caused a stir way back in 2007 when he said UFC lightweight champ Sean Sherk would "whoop his ass in under two minutes."
Then came the notoriously loud-mouthed Conor McGregor, who noted he could take out the undefeated Boxing champ in under 30 seconds!
With seemingly everyone and their mother making a desperate attempt to make headlines alongside Mayweather's name, "Money" told TMZ Sports that he isn't at all worried about what "The Notorious" one has to say.
His words:
"I don't take that dude seriously. He's just trying to get himself some publicity."
If McGregor was just trying to get some publicity, what do you think Mayweather has to say about UFC president Dana White recently stating that every UFC fighter on the roster would beat "Money" in a fight?
And the saga continues ...
