UFC Quick Quote: One phone call from Dana White and Matt Hughes is BACK!

"For Dana White to say 'come back,' that's all it would take, is a phone call from Dana, and I would be back. I'm a little old, I'm 41 years old. I'd have to be careful with my opponent. But I'm still a competitor and I'd love to get in there. Matt Serra and I had a good match this last time, and we've got our differences. So he's been asking for a rematch forever, and I'd give it to him if he wanted it."

Former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) welterweight titleholder and well-deserved UFC hall of famer Matt Hughes still has the itch to compete, despite walking away from mixed martial arts (MMA) in 2013 to become UFC Super Cop Vice President of Athlete Development and Government Relations. But hey, all it would take is one phone call from UFC President Dana White and Hughes is right back inside the Octagon, according to comments he made to GroundandPound.de (via The Underground). It should be noted that Hughes has not seen action since getting knocked out by Josh Koscheck in 2011. That said, anyone hoping for a Matt Serra rematch?
