Bellator 137 adds Ricky Rainey vs. Jesse Juarez to May 15 line up

Bellator MMA is taking the "Bull" by the horns.

Brandon Halsey makes his first title defense since beating Alexander Shlemenko last year when he returns on May 15th, 2015 at the Pechanga Resort & Casino in Temecula, California. His opponent is The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) 3 tournament winner Kendall "Da Spyder" Grove, who last defeated former light heavyweight champion Christian M'Pumbu via rear naked choke.

The Spike TV main card already includes a bantamweight showdown between former champion Eduardo Dantas and hard-hitting fan favorite Mike "The Marine" Richman, as well as local favorite Fernando Gonzalez vs. "Curteous" Curtis Millender.

Bellator MMA decided to bolster that line-up by announcing several preliminary fights.

Welterweights Jesse Juarez (22-9) and Ricky "The Sniper" Rainey (10-3) will go toe to toe, bantamweights Joe "The Juggernaut" Taimanglo (20-6-1) and Antonio "Tigre" Duarte (18-5)  will broadcast on Spike.com, and featherweights Jordan "Pretty Boy" Parsons (10-1) and Julio Cesar "Morceguinho" Neves Jr. (30-0) are prepared to scrap, as well.

The Rainey vs. Jaurez fight in particular is intriguing.

"The Sniper" Rainey is two out of three in his Bellator run, his only loss coming to Michael "Venom" Page, his most recent bout an impressive first round stoppage of Johnny Cisneros. Juarez has a long history with the promotion dating back to Bellator 2, and has won six of seven fights inside its cage.
