It wasn't easy, but Mirko Cro Cop got his revenge against Gabriel Gonzaga yesterday (Sat., April 11, 2015), taking out the Brazilian with a come-from-behind technical knockout finish in the third round of their Heavyweight main event match at UFC Fight Night 64 inside Krakow Arena in Krakow, Poland.
And it was all about the elbows.
Indeed, the Croatian landed a devastating standing elbow along the fence after suffering two rounds of abuse underneath the furry "Napao." Shortly thereafter, Cro Cop would seal the deal with a brutal ground-and-pound attack that compelled the referee to intervene and stop the action.
It was ugly (see a carnage pic here).
For Cro Cop, 40, it marked his first victory inside the Octagon since June 2010. It's unclear what his future might hold, he's just thrilled to get one back on Gonzaga after the devastating head kick knockout eight years ago at UFC 70 that short-circuited his potential UFC title run (watch video highlights here).
Because it is impossible to suffer without making someone pay for it.
