Jacare Souza wanted Michael Bisping, instead draws Chris Camozzi for rematch at UFC on FOX 15 in Newark

Ronaldo Souza will have a dancing partner at UFC on FOX 15, but not the one he had hoped.

Following Yoel Romero withdrawing from their scheduled middleweight contest due to a meniscus tear -- the second time the fight has been scrapped by the way -- Souza was hoping Michael Bisping would ditch UFC 186 and C.B. Dolloway in favor of stepping up to the plate for the bigger match up at the FOX event on April 18, 2015 from the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey.

That's according to Gilberto Faria, "Jacare's" manager, who told MMA Fighting that Bisping would be the perfect opponent on short notice.

His words:

"[Bisping's] the kind of guy that has balls and wouldn't say no to a fight. Looking at all the other guys out there right now that would be a great fight for 'Jacare' and someone that would be ready by April 18. That person that crossed my mind to get people excited -- to get 'Jacare' excited -- is Michael Bisping. If that happens, it'll be a great show. We'll see."

Well, it won't be Bisping in Newark for "Jacare."

Instead, UFC announced today during the UFC Fight Night 64 broadcast that Chris Camozzi will return to the Octagon to rematch Souza in the co-main event of the evening.

Back in May 2013, Camozzi was smoked by Souza in the Brazilian's Octagon debut, but now the American will have his chance at revenge.

This will be Camozzi's first UFC fight since being released by the promotion in late 2014 following a four fight losing streak. The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) veteran has since won two in a row via finish.
