April Fools? Miesha Tate says she's injured, won't be able to fight Jessica Eye in June

Remember that title eliminator fight between Miesha Tate and Jessica Eye that was supposed to go down in June to determine the next contender for the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) women's bantamweight title?

Yeah, it's not happening ... or is it?

Tate took to Twitter (via FOX Sports) to break some unfortunate news that she is injured and will not be able to fight anytime soon after Eye called her out for not signing the contract.

@jessicaevileye bc I got injured, I cant take the fight, sorry Jess I was super excited about it. Maybe a later date

Then, three hours later, Tate issued this not-so-funny, vague follow up:

You guys do know its April 1st right?

The winner is/was set to take on either Ronda Rousey or Bethe Correia, depending on who proves victorious when the two talented ladies collide at UFC 190 on Aug. 1, 2015 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil (details).

It still could be the case ... or not.
