Disney now in the MMA business, becomes official sponsor for ONE Championship

ONE Championship continues its global expansion and now has some American muscle behind it, as Sherdog.com brings word that Victor Cui and Co. have secured Disney -- yes, that Disney -- as a sponsor for the largest mixed martial arts (MMA) promotion in Asia.

"We have a fantastic relationship with Disney," Cui said. "Blue-chip organizations all over the world realize the limitless potential that ONE Championship and mixed martial arts has in Asia. This is a great deal and reflects the power of ONE Championship in creating a spectacle that attracts the best partners."

ONE Championship (formerly ONE FC) changed its name just last month (details).

The promotion is back in action this Friday (March 13, 2015) for "Age of Champions" inside Stadium Putra in Kuala Lumpur, featuring flyweight champion Adriano Moraes defending his 125-pound title for the very first time when he takes on Asuka Mikami.
