UFC Quick Quote: Rafael dos Anjos will 'smash' Anthony Pettis at UFC 185

Both on the ground and on the feet.

Mark J. Rebilas-USA TODAY Sports

"I think (dos Anjos) smashes (Pettis) in striking and I think he smashes him on the ground. This is my opinion. I don't know why, but I think he'll smash him. Dos Anjos is no easy man. A lot of people watch and think I beat him (dos Anjos) easy, but it was not easy. It was no easy fight. I beat him, but nobody beat him like me."

-- Khabib Nurmagomedov doesn't seem to think too much of Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) lightweight champion Anthony Pettis. The two have verbally sparred over the past year, so it's no surprise "The Eagle" is picking Rafael dos Anjos to "smash" the 155-pound champ when the two go toe-to-toe at UFC 185 on March 14, 2015 in Dallas, Texas (more on that here). In fact, despite "Showtime" being one of the best strikers in the entire division -- and even shown improved submission skills in his previous two wins against Ben Henderson (see it) and Gilbert Melendez (video) -- Khabib says RDA will outclass Pettis in all facets of the fight game. Then again, if Anthony finally shows his "full potential," the Brazilian could be in for a long night and Khabib will be forced to eat some crow.
