Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) is looking to keep one light heavyweight contender in the 205-pound title hunt.
And send the other one packing.
According to our Swedish friends at Kimura.se, former division No. 1 contenders Alexander Gustafsson and Glover Teixeira will hook 'em up at the upcoming UFC Fight Night 69 mixed martial arts (MMA) event, set for the O2 World Arena in Berlin, Germany.
Gustafsson (16-3) is coming off a heartbreaking knockout loss to light heavyweight leviathan Anthony Johnson, who rocked and socked his way into a Jon Jones title fight by mauling "The Mauler" back in January (relive the madness here).
Teixeira (22-4), meanwhile, hasn't been seen since getting outworked by Phil Davis last October in Brazil. Since then, the power-punching Brazilian was paired off against Rashad Evans, but then sent back to the sidelines with injuries (details).
You digging this proposed match up?
No other fights have been announced for Berlin at this time; however, you can expect that to change sooner, rather than later.
Stay tuned.
