Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) recently tied a ribbon around its UFC 184: "Rousey vs. Zingano" pay-per-view (PPV) mixed martial arts (MMA) event, which took place last Saturday night (Feb. 28, 2015) inside Staples Center in Los Angeles, California.

There were no survivors, at least on the suspension front.

Ronda Rousey only needed 12 14 seconds to dispose of Cat Zingano in the UFC 184 main event (watch it), but that didn't stop her from getting suspended along with "Alpha," who also earned a seven-day timeout for precautionary reasons.

That's not all.

Here is the complete list of UFC 184 injuries and medical suspensions from California State Athletic Commission (via MMA Fighting):

Mandatory seven-day suspensions (precautionary reasons):

Ronda Rousey: Suspended seven days for mandatory rest period
Cat Zingano: Suspended seven days for mandatory rest period
Holly Holm: Suspended seven days for mandatory rest period
Jake Ellenberger: Suspended seven days for mandatory rest period
Josh Koscheck: Suspended seven days for mandatory rest period
Alan Jouban: Suspended seven days for mandatory rest period

Additional suspensions:

Raquel Pennington: Suspended 180 days pending X-ray of both hands or doctor's clearance for potential fractures
Roan Carneiro: Suspended 180 days, or until receive doctor's clearance for right elbow pain
Roman Salazar: Suspended 180 days, or until receive doctor's clearance for left eye injury
Tim Means: Suspended 180 days, or until receive doctor's clearance for potential left elbow fracture
Dhiego Lima: Suspended 180 days, or until receive doctor's clearance for potential left foot fracture. Minimum suspension 45 days with 30 days no contact
Ruan Potts: Suspended 180 days, or until receive doctor's clearance for head trauma. Minimum suspension 45 days with 30 days no contact
Valmir Lazaro: Suspended 180 days, or until receive doctor's clearance for right cheek laceration
Richard Walsh: Suspended 45 days, 30 days no contact

Just a quick reminder: Fighters often return to action much quicker once doctors give them the green light. The lengthy suspensions are just a precaution in most cases. In addition, not all injuries are recorded during the post-fight examination and often times surface in follow-up tests.
