Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) matchmakers Sean Shelby and Joe Silva have tough jobs putting together high-profile fights with the ever-increasing stable of UFC fighters, but when two men verbally agree to a bout on Twitter, the fighters essentially take the middlemen out of the equation.
Earlier today, The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) season nine winner Ross Pearson asked his fans where they would like to see him fight next, and after a response recommended a showdown against former Strikeforce lightweight champ Josh Thomson, the two men agreed to go to war inside the Octagon.
I want fight July where would u rather see me fight & who? #UFCGLASGOW or #UFCSANDIEGO Could I fill a Glasgow arena with crazy northerns??

@RossTheRealDeal @DiegoMaradobbn Let's do it! My agent is calling Joe now so no need to waste anymore of my 140 characters talking about it.
— Josh Thomson (@THEREALPUNK) March 28, 2015
"@RossTheRealDeal: @THEREALPUNK perfect " I respect you and like you but I'm gonna knock your head off in San Diego.
— Josh Thomson (@THEREALPUNK) March 28, 2015
@THEREALPUNK all I ask is u bring it

"@RossTheRealDeal: @THEREALPUNK all I ask is u bring it" You can bet your ass I'm gonna bring it. Judges don't like me so not going there.

Although Pearson is not ranked while Thomson sits pretty in the No. 9 slot, the Brit is coming off a thunderous knockout over Sam Stout at UFC 185 that has earned him another crack at a ranked opponent.
As for "The Punk," he is looking to rebound from a two-fight losing streak and an injury that pulled him from his scheduled bout against Gilbert Burns at UFC Fight Night 62.
Anyone interested in this lightweight showdown that would be scheduled for UFC Fight Night 71 in San Diego, California at the Valley View Casino Center on July 15, 2015?
