Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC ) women's bantamweight champion, Ronda Rousey, stopped by ESPN's First Take earlier this week to offer her breakdown of the upcoming mega fight between Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Manny Pacquiao, which is set to go down on May 2, 2015 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Not surprisingly, "Rowdy" is backing her friend "Pac Man" to dethrone "Money" and hand him his first-ever loss in the process. She also offered up a bit of strategy advice for the Filipino pugilist.
"It's a very, very close fight, it really is, but Manny is a friend of mine and I got to stick up for my friends. It's not just that, I really believe if Manny doesn't jump in, and if he uses really relentless pressure and uses all of his speed, I think he's going to give Floyd a really hard time. Being an actual fighter and not just talking about it, I can't say what exactly it will be, but I think Manny will present Floyd with some very unique problems he hasn't dealt with yet; speed and relentlessness. If he doesn't jump in, stays planted on his feet and he uses all of that speed that he has, I think it's a really good strategy for him."
If Pacquiao heeds Ronda's advice and pulls off the upset win, Mayweather can find solace in knowing he's still going to get paid beaucoup bucks, win, lose or draw.
As for Ronda, she'll start working on a strategy of her own as she gears up to defend her title for the sixth time against Bethe Correia at UFC 190 on Aug. 1, 2015 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
