Is Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) bantamweight kingpin TJ Dillashaw scared to rematch Renan Barao?
After "The Viper" was injured and forced to withdraw from their UFC 186 pay-per-view (PPV) main event, scheduled for April 25, 2015 in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, the Brazilian accused Dillashaw of running and vowed to make the champ eat his words.
From Instagram (via MMA Fighting):
"I only have one thing to say at this moment: Dillashaw, you can run, but you can't hide. Your time will come and you will have to do everything you say you're going to do, without running, or I'll make you swallow your own words. I will be waiting."
These are probably the words he plans on feeding him.
Dillashaw beat Barao for the 135-pound title back at UFC 173, and was expected to rematch the Nova Uniao product at UFC 177. Unfortunately, the Brazilian was hospitalized during his weight cut and forced to withdraw, leaving "Viper" with a short-notice title defense against Joe Soto.
Third time's the charm?
