Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) women's bantamweight titleholder Ronda Rousey opened as a 15-to-1 betting favorite over undefeated 135-pound contender Bethe Correia, according to SportsbookReview.com, for their upcoming UFC 190 pay-per-view (PPV) main event, expected to go down inside HSBC Arena in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, on Aug. 1, 2015.
Lay out $1,500 to win $100?
No thanks.
While "Rowdy" has commanded a sizable betting line (yet again), it's not the most lopsided in women's mixed martial arts (MMA) history. That honor goes to -- you guessed it -- Rousey hater and former Strikeforce featherweight champion Cristiane Justino.
"Cyborg" was a bloated -2500 over Jan "Cuddles" Finney, who was hit every 3.3 seconds during their Showtime snuff film.
Rousey and Correia will both enter UFC 190 with perfect records (see their intense staredown here); however, the champion has stopped all 11 of her victims, while the Brazilian has just two finishes in nine trips to the cage and only one under the UFC banner.
Now that I think about it, those odds are starting to sound a little low, considering Cat Zingano was -1300.
Anyone disagree?
